USB Redirector Editor's Review
'USB Redirector Pro' as the name suggests is a software meant to help you share USB devices without using hardware USB switches. If you have a network you have to install the program in any computer which uses USB devices. After installing the program each user can connect to any computer in the network by simply adding the IP of that computer in the USB server zone. If there are USB devices which are connected to those computers they will appear like they are installed on your system so you can access them very easily. You can see the connected devices in a tree list on the program's main interface. This list is refreshed each time a device is plugged or unplugged from a computer.
While testing the program I've discovered that it's not very easy to configure it and it might cause working problems to your already installed USB devices. The program has a complex way to communicate with you by the help of a few statuses. In order to understand those statuses which will help you use the program I recommend you read the 'Help' file. You have to pay attention to the FireWall settings in order to permit communications via the needed TCP ports.
The user interface needs some improvements because, in my opinion, for a program like this, it needs to be very intuitive.
Pluses: Nice features. It is very helpful to access directly USB devices connected to other computers.
Drawbacks / flaws: It has some stability issues and the user interface needs some improvements too.
In conclusion: I look forward for the next release hopping it will be more easy to configure and without stability issues.
